Graphic device & visual identity guidelines
Project: Create a graphic device to represent global services management, and produce a visual identity guideline supporting the implementation for online and print
Role: B2B microsite owner, graphic design co-lead, client side lead of creative agency guideline development (English version)
Approach: Capture the global nature of the business services group in a graphic device that would be distinct and immediately relatable
Key Considerations: The design co-lead was Japanese and not fluent in English, so collaboration was mainly executed via shared sketches and digital prototypes. The primary graphic device should reflect the primary business drivers of the global services group, and be suitable for online and print usage on a white or black background; for online, an early design decision was to incorporate motion
Results: Primary graphic device and visual identity guide for application in print, in video, and on global websites
Primary graphic Device
Creative Inspiration Summary: The idea of a 'pinwheel' was the inspiration for a circular primary graphic device that spins on a fixed axis to represent a rotating planet earth, leveraging the existing corporate branding palette colors in arcs to indicate motion even when static (in print), with the earth's atmosphere depicted in an outer glow effect
